6/15/25 223 pm SCFD8 & Spokane Valley Fire responsed to a small airplane crash on S. SkyMeadow Ln. 1 patient was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Accident is under investigation.

Heat advisories are in effect for Monday & Tuesday across the Inland Northwest. Highs in the 90s to low 100s and lows in the upper 50s to low 70s will increase the risk for heat-related illness for anyone without effective cooling & adequate hydration. weather.gov/Spokane

This evening SCFD8 firefighters were honored to be part of the procession of the fallen firefighters from Kootenai County to Spokane. Folks from all over the area came out to show their love for the families.
