Log onto Twitter for the first time in weeks. Oh dear it’s an anger/fear factory. Time to leave again.

This is an integrity story. It's about sacrificing quality for short-term engagement.

It's about a site growing because it saw community as a product to be cultivated, then declining as it saw 'users' to be milked.

This is why we need Integrity Institute.

Watching this Senate hearing on child safety: It's wild that Facebook is still trotting out the line that (to paraphrase):

'99% of the bad stuff we found [we found through this one method'.

Who cares? It's all about the bad stuff they *don't* find/action on.

We're live tweeting the Senate child safety hearing! And much much more coming soon. (And already out -- for example, we have a whole deck on how to do child safety online)

'90 minutes into the hearing, this seems much more tactical and solutions-oriented than previous Senate hearings. Senators have been demanding more clear cut answers from CEO's and asking them to directly state whether they support proposed legislation.' - Vaishnavi (II member)

I’m writing an essay on β€œhow to stay sane on the internet as everyone around you seems to lose their mind arguing”.

I’m having trouble framing it. It’s a structural, evergreen analysis about feed ranking. But it also applies to I/P arguments right now. Help?
