I went to Masanga for the first time last week. It was great to visit a new place & meet people who are working incredibly hard to deliver quality healthcare services & provide medical education. The biggest challenge was the heat at 39 C, feeling like 44 C.

The Minister of Health Austin Demby and his top management team today recognized the hardwork, dedication, leadership and sacrifice of the management of #ConnaughtHospital , #OlaDuring and #HingHarmanRoadHpspital for improving healthcare delivery in their facilities.

On behalf of President Julius Maada Bio, I gave the keynote address at the opening ceremony of the 64th Annual Conference of the West African College of Surgeons in Freetown. Sierra Leone is the host country of the conference for the sixth time.

MoH top leadership Austin Demby, CHARLES SENESIE Dr. Jalikatu Mustapha Dr Sartie Kenneh Dr.med.M.S.Kabba are leading on the hosting and successful outcome of this weeklong gathering.

I’d completely missed this. Is the government of #SierraLeone really planning on knocking down some of the wooden houses in Hill Station to make way for embassies for Saudi Arabia and Turkey? Can they have so little respect for our history? Have no voices been raised in protest?
