How to bring exoskeletons to the workplace🤔? Here is a roadmap to support large-scale adoption of this exciting technology🦾! Congrats to Carlos Rodriguez-Guerrero and Michiel de Looze in their participation in authoring this Cambridge University article👏🎉 cambridge.org/core/journals/…
Our Research Topic, "Interfacing Humans and Machines for Rehabilitation and Assistive Devices" (19 articles), has been finalized Frontiers in Robotics and AI e-book frontiersin.org/research-topic… Great collab Carlos Rodriguez-Guerrero BruBotics VUB Eduardo Rocon gNec CSIC Jan Veneman @hocoma Center for Biomechatronics @Escuelaing
In our latest paper we examine the effects of using the Exo4Work exoskeleton. Anterior deltoid activity and fatigue were reduced up to 16% and 41%, respectively. BruBotics VUB Sander De Bock Kevin De Pauw Joost Geeroms Romain Meeusen ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/97353…
E4W passive shoulder exoskeleton reduces musculoskeletal loading🦴 in shoulder and elbow during tasks above shoulder height🏋️♀️(combined effect of exoskeleton assistance and small kinematic changes) doi.org/10.1016/j.aper… Thank you ilse jonkers @SamVanRossom Carlos Rodriguez-Guerrero FWO
Our Exo4Work shoulder #exoskeleton evaluation is now published in IEEE Engineering Medicine and Biology Society #TBME! 🔗ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/97353… The exo reduced acute physical fatigue at the shoulder during overhead work. But discomfort increased ➡️ let's improve interfaces in a future prototype iteration 🤩
