#BlackHistoryMonth  2023, the theme is 'Saluting our Sisters'. Today we honour and remember Mary Seacole, who in 2004 was voted the greatest black Briton for her heroic work during the Crimean war. She cared for many sick British soldiers and even set up a hospital on the front.
