Yes. I should have said (in previous post) not having a go at individual journos as much as their employers who choose not to prioritise coverage of the actual games anymore, treating them like they're just a vehicle for a series of talking points in the week ahead.

Sure has. Bigger issue is journos not even attending games, let alone post-match pressers. Until a few years ago, major outlets would have 2-3 at any game in Melbourne. Now sometimes lucky to have one. (And no, I wasn't there tonight, but will be Saturday & Sunday). #AFLDogsSwans

I know everyone's a lot more sensitive (with good reason) about head knocks now, but I also honestly can't remember seeing as many head clashes in the game as we're seeing at the moment. It's a real worry. #AFLDogsSwans

Really sad to hear of Barry Davis' passing. Terrific ruck-rover & half-back for Essendon, then as North Melbourne's first premiership captain. Ahead of his time as a coach and helped set up Kevin Sheedy's premiership teams of 1984-85. Most importantly, a lovely, decent man. RIP.

Was really fortunate to be able to interview Barry Davis at length for Essendon FC in 2018. He had a great story to tell and spoke beautifully. Worth a look, footy fans.
