Never re-friend a person that has tried to destroy you. A snake is a Snake. Shading skin doesn't turn a snake into a lizard.

Yes, on top of the in-house salon, Ug MPs also need a massage parlor, sauna, steam bath…
They’re certainly important to “boost their participation in parliamentary activities”!

My heart cries out for retiring Doctors, Professors, Primary and Secondary Headteachers who have profoundly shaped the leaders of this nation. They are never thought about. Don’t we get ashamed seeing these guys die in utter poverty after retirement. Let us rethink!!!

Why? What about nurses, policemen, teachers. Will they also get their full salary for life when they retire?

There is a retirement policy for all public servants. Why a special ‘Mpuuga package’ for the auditor general?
‘Mpuuga package’ is unjust, it is an abuse of power.

Jim Spire Ssentongo But I think Uganda Law Society should be challenging this kind of nonsense. ...how do people get service awards outside their statutory mandated retirement benefits, what if it's starts at the lower level, district council start awarding themselves the same Benefits, what's going on?

Jim Spire Ssentongo The same person being given the “service award” is also destined to received over 1 Billion in gratuity and pension. What the likes Anita Annet Among and Mathias Mpuuga are trying to achieve is to normalize the “service awards” so that we don’t question theirs.

In all this EFRIS, Uganda Revenue Authority, Kikuubo back & forth, one thing is becoming increasingly clear: not even the folks we think are elite thinkers understand how VAT works. If they did, they’d know that the taxman is simply asking for a tax that the consumer has already paid.

Ms. Pinetti again! The Lubowa failed project bought a second hand car locally and asked for tax exemptions to which John Musinguzi Rujoki acquiesced and apologised—using poor grammar. Uganda Revenue Authority why?

The Speaker is spot on. The proposed tax on land is misconceived and I also call upon parliament to reject it. I will interface with the finance committee when called upon to make a case for why this policy which was first mooted last year should be shelved indefinitely.…

You need to have a pulse on the economy to understand systems like EFRIS. They are meant for closed loop economies, not disjointed agrarian enclaves like ours. The disadvantages of formalising your business in Uganda outweigh the benefits, unless you want to transact with gov't.

Dear URA, after the traders, also go to schools and school fees. Then finally, we go to ranchers. Ok? Are we together?

This is really good. But URA should find a middle ground without abandoning EFRIS or excusing them.

The days of The Tax burden lying squarely on the Formal businesses and formal employees should be long gone. Let each person pay their fair share of tax
