The FT noticing the emergence of a broad political coalition of voters whose key concern is protection & restoration of nature & the earth. This coalition may be electorally stronger than the pro-human development supporters who currently make more noise

Went to Minster Marshes this afternoon. First bird I saw after arriving at a favoured spot was a Cattle Egret flying over (more of which later). Also 2 Hobbies, Red Kite, many Yellow Wags (one Channel-type), Cuckoo, usual Warblers, Common Sand, lots of Buzzards.

It’s incredible: 238 individual trees, 50 groups of trees, 3 woodlands, 79 hedgerows & all buildings that the 4 developers have surveyed in Titchmarsh they can categorically say that NOT a single πŸ¦‡ roost in any of them - EVER. 10+ species, 1000s passes NO roosts! β€˜Again, Minster Marshes is a prime example of blindly ignoring the plight of this area with fine words in reports which are clearly not enacted in reality to protect the plants, animals, birds and beauty of this area, which is valued by the local human populace too.’

1.Yesterday I was given a full tour of the area which will be impacted by National Grid at Minster Marshes Thanet. An enormous converter station is planned in the field central to the photo.
This is one of the last untouched areas of Thanet.Full of wildlife, a magical place.
