The Dodgers definitely became Mexico’s team in the 1980s because of Fernando Valenzuela, & an argument can be made that they’re still the most popular MLB team in Mexico. The Astros have made major inroads in Mexico because of their recent success, & proximity.

Everything about my first visit to Mexico City was wonderful. Great food, great people, & a fantastic atmosphere at both games. Would love to go back!

A lot of baseball fans know that George Steinbrenner always wanted the best for the Yankees on the field. But, that was true in the broadcast booth, as well. There aren’t too many great broadcasters of the 70s & 80s that George Steinbrenner didn’t pursue, some successfully.
