In May of 2020 & then a yr later as part my AAUP ch I sat down w campus & statewide university admin to discuss Covid safety protocols. The indifference of admin to lives & health of students/staff I found shattering, shocking. That abyss has not closed & just keeps widening

Every statement this week from a university president, summarized:
1) Freedom of expression is a core value of this institution.
2) However, we reserve the right to silence/arrest/assault anyone if we dislike the time, place, content, or composition of anything you say or do.

these kids have been doing school shooting drills since they were in elementary school and now we have this language directed at them from elected officials.
