Gary Genuinely wanna hear your reasoning for this. I don’t necessarily disagree, but I’m always on the fence about this conversation. It’s undeniable that the hawks looked surprisingly decent with him out, then looked notably bad after he returned and in the play-in

Gary He’s a great passer and takes the hawks farther in the playoffs than they should go, but he also turns the ball over a shit ton and when the offense runs thru him almost nobody else gets looks of their own. He’s never had an all star tm, but that’s partially bc he kills tms usage

mrpoopybutthole He returned too quickly. Said he couldn’t even hold the ball with his left hand. Have to disregard end of season. We looked decent without him because we were making more 3 pointers

Trae makes offense click. He elevated capela, collins, huerter to being uber efficient.

mrpoopybutthole He is the best Hawk since Dominique Wilkins. I just don’t think trading a 26 and 11 player who has proven he can take this team on a deep run. We need to surround him with shooters and athleticism. I will personally be very upset if we trade Trae.

Gary There was a point when I was the staunchest trae defender because we really were making solid playoff runs with 4/5 starters being mid, and I think I have some cognitive dissonance accepting that maybe trae can’t find a way to work in an offense where he’s not the only instigator
