First time climbing since my accident at exact spot where it happened and the abseil I hung on for 2.5 hours with open fracture in Jan 2022. This was huge. I cried with relief and I never cry. I was terrified. But, though I’ll never fully recover physically, mentally I’m there.

I’ve been off here for a few days due to dropping my phone off a cliff into the sea. Minor news compared to my last climbing mishap. Do I feel detoxed and newly reawakened to the wonders of screen-free existence? You’re kidding. Never will I separate from my phone again.

Love this. Many frontline support workers don’t see their full impact. Sometimes a contact can be only the first of many and lots of our life journeys are not linear. But the impact is real. I’ve seen this at Shelter and Women's Aid - believing in someone *will* make a difference

First bike ride for about 18 months. Finally I feel I can walk well enough to cope if I had a puncture or any minor mishap. I’d almost forgotten the feeling of liberation cycling brings, and of being close to the landscape and exploring. What a top day.
