1/2 I realized today that I've been struggling to reconcile a painful internal rift. On the one hand, I really want to reach across the divide, understand rather than condemn, figure out how to live peaceably with people who see things very differently than I do.

District Hall is being made permanent, eliminating public park space. And the master developer is seeking a FREE liquor license in exchange for an embarrassing commitment. District Hall should be REQUIRED to function as a Community Center with programming funded in perpetuity.
