Thanks to everyone on the #IsleOfWight for a thoroughly useful couple of days. Time for a quick stop in #Portsmouth on the way back - glad as always to catch up with Dominic Jones to hear about latest developments at The Mary Rose - what a beacon for the city it is.
Such, such sad news. Everyone at Arts Council England, South West sending our warmest wishes to the team at Hall for Cornwall this evening.
Our last stop on this Isle of Wight trip - a chance to hear from two Arts Council England, South West #NPOs : The NCC on their inspiring work and Gavin Stride Creative Island on the island’s future cultural and civic ambitions. Valuable insights - thanks for hosting us!
Next stop on our Isle Of Wight trip, a very useful visit to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport #CDF supported Department in #Ryde - thank you ShademakersUK and Joe Plumb for showing us the immense potential of this transformative project.
As ever, grateful thanks to Jack, Mhairi and Megan for sharing the Ventnor Fringe Ventnor Exchange story with Arts Council England colleagues today - culture-led placemaking at its very best.
#DeathSongbook was a stand-out lockdown cultural memory when recorded for Sky Arts. The quiet perfection of it on vinyl, though: an hour of emotional alchemy from Arts Council England, South West #NPO Paraorchestra Charles Hazlewood Brett Anderson Nadine Shah @gwenno - out now via WorldCircuitRecords
So good seeing so many good friends of The Mary Rose tonight at the Portsmouth Historic Quarter relaunch.
