Ok, but I’m actually referring to many of the actors in the system. Either they don’t notice, or they don’t care.

For better or worse, I notice and I care. I doubt it will alter the balance, but I will try to make my voice on this heard.

Peter Sankoff Ridiculous procedural hurdles that prevent trials from even starting are also to blame. We often spend more time running stupid 276 and 278 applications that take longer than the trial itself. And without prelims we are running trials that should have been stayed or resolved.

I am pitching at least eight, but they do involve compromises on what we currently view as “essential” to advance justice.

It won’t be the last. The pressures on the judicial system go beyond the appointment of judges. We are in a serious crisis, and most don’t seem to notice.

Yes. It was (of course) right that he be convicted and punished. And we all grieve for the victims and their families. But this man has owned and answered for his wrongdoing as completely as anyone can.
