2nd, remember that 'entertainment district' that would close Rice Howard Way to cars, with ppl allowed to take food/drink into the street? The city had proposed closures from Friday eve to Sunday morning, but is cutting the # of days in half. I'll give you 3 guesses as to why!

This is one small step for pedestrianization, and one giant leap towards a more fun Rice Howard Way on weekends this summer!

The High Level Bridge will be closed to cars nightly from 9:30pm 'til 6am until May 9th. The west sidewalk will remain open, but the east sidewalk will also be closed. #yegbike #yegwalk

Tim Querengesser People like to rip on bike lanes, but I've had more than one developer tell me that the reason they've built dense housing on 102 Ave/124 St. are is partly because of bike lanes. So, there is a return to that investment.
