Interesting how constant has been the growth in GitHub stars for Vite. We haven't done much to promote them, no CTA in docs for example. And now Vite isn't far from the TOP 100 repos. A strange metric though. Very weak correlation with npm downloads, esbuild should be on top here

Incredible. This wouldn't be possible without the previous work Jake et al have been doing in the TypeScript codebase. But Joyee's unlocking require(ESM) in CJS will greatly speed up the ongoing ESMification process. We'll be able to publish Vite as ESM only in a few majors.
