Patrolman Leroy S. Bedell was driving one of the division’s Indian motorcycles on state Route 4 in Erie County when he was killed in a crash. He was stationed at Bellevue.

As school buses return to the roadways, the Patrol has a few reminders: Motorists are required to stop at least 10 feet in front of or behind a school bus when flashing lights and an extended arm are displayed; motorists cannot resume driving until the school bus begins moving.

Recently, Kenneth Vanhoorik joined Ohio’s “Saved by the Belt” Club. His decision to #BuckleUp saved him from sustaining life-threatening injuries during a crash on July 25 on Ohio Turnpike in Sandusky Co. Lt. Brett Gockstetter, Milan Post, presented him with a certificate.
