It’s a very sad day for East Finchley today as Black Gull Books closes its doors for the last time.

I’m so sad. I’ve just seen that independent bookshop Black Gull Books in East Finchley is closing today 😢. What a complete shock. I really despair of what’s happening to our highstreets. Here’s my little painting of it I made during the first lockdown.

We are devastated that Black Gull Books is closing. We will still be running this event thanks to the wonderful Brian so join us there for Black Gull's last event and raise a glass to this wonderful East Finchley presence.
