There's still a few areas seeing light rain/drizzle this morning, but we should be drying out by the afternoon. Another cooler day for this time of year with highs near 80F. There could be minor flooding possible late tonight/early Sun for the western bay and the tidal rivers.

Get ready for a chilly night (for early August, that is)! We're already down to 62 here in Wakefield & temps will continue to drop overnight. Lows in the mid/upper 50s inland with low-mid 60s closer to the coast. Let's all breathe a collective sigh of heat relief... Ahhhhhhh 😁

Good morning! Did you love yesterday's weather? If so, you're in luck! Conditions today will be similar to yesterday with highs near 80 degrees and partly sunny skies. Temperatures will start to creep back up this week, but not to scorching levels.

The Fall-like weather continues tonight with overnight lows in the mid-upper 50s inland! A little warmer along the coast with temps in the mid-upper 60s. Monday will be a bit warmer than today (mid 80s for most) but with low humidity. #vawx #ncwx #mdwx

New this evening: Tropical Storm Dexter has formed off the NC coast. No land impacts are expected, but it will help keep onshore flow for the area.

Today will be another nice day w/ temperatures slightly warmer than yesterday, in the lower-mid 80s. Tropical Storm Dexter has been named off the NC coast but no direct impacts are expected. We'll see rain chances begin to increase mid week as moisture returns to the area.
