Thomas made as many saves in this shootout (3) as Sounders goalkeepers had made in previous four shootouts combined. You have to go back to 2016 shootout win over RSL to find the last time Sounders gk made even two saves and I can’t find a record of any Sounders GK making three.

Andy Thomas turned in unquestionably the best shootout performance in sounders history. Think he’s the first sounders gk to convert too.

That ended a four-match losing streak in shootouts for sounders. Last win was 2016 MLS Cup.
