Columbia University “The entire encampment voted unanimously that we will not leave until we win all of our demands,” says a speaker after announcing Columbia University agreed to one demand.

“If the encampment has decided they will not leave, that means we will not leave,” says another to supporters.

Should raise a red flag that charter school lobby is only NY education group speaking out in favor of extending mayoral control & spending millions on ads for this. Meanwhile, charter schools are NOT run by the Mayor (though they helped elect him & he's given them lots of favors)

Send a letter to your state legislators NOW, urging them to allow for more parent, teacher & community voice in the running of NYC schools, by changing the composition of the PEP & establishing Commission to propose more fundamental reforms for the future.
