Just now the German airport security is holding doctor Ghassan Abu Sitta and refusing to allow him to enter the country. He is supposed to speak at the Palestine Congress today in Berlin!

This country is an absolute menace.

Today we commemorate the Deir Yassin massacre from April 1948: there were no Islamic Republic in Iran, no Hamas, no Hizbullah and no PLO and no Nasser.

The writer and revolutionary Ghassan Kanafani was born on this date, April 9, in 1936. Kanafani shares that birthday with Leila Khaled, who was born in Haifa eight years later, and became a fellow exile in 1948. They both eventually joined the PFLP.
