Who else is sick and tired seeing MPs with their jackets off, sleeves rolled up and ties tucked in looking like they're ready for a hard day's work. They take us for mugs.

The average price of a house in London is above ยฃ600K.
A 30 year mortgage on a ยฃ600k loan costs nearly ยฃ3K/m. Even with 20% affordable home discount, it's still outside the earnings of many people. Renting isn't much cheaper.
What a choice!

Iain Dale storms off GMB in a huff.

1. Hey, we're lucky no-one got assaulted this time.

2. The people involved will want to watch their backs in any case. Iain (not 'Ian') Dale is a vindictive soul who feigns being reasonable, but has no moral compass. bit.ly/2S9lZqJ

I hate tories as much as anyone but I haven't heard of any policies from the opposition to address it. We have an aging population, we now live much longer and it's going to affect many more of us as time goes on.

We'll take that as red then, shall we. It's bound to stop the traffic. But seriously, why is he always depicted in an army uniform from 200 years ago? Why so much emphasis on fighting? What should he wear that would make him look more relevant in 2024?

Starmer could do the right thing now and sack Natalie Elphicke and he could do so without losing too much face. I can just hear the Labour excuses though; 'yes Kier was right to sack her, but he was not wrong in accepting her in the first place' blah blah blah. Total cockup!

I'm what they call 'politically homeless'. When I cast my vote my cross will go to the party I despise least, and not for a party whose policies I support, and whose leaders I can trust to deliver them. Does anyone else feel the same way?

If there was a GE next week, Starmer would win. But, a week is a long time in politics and the election might not come until November. He is in danger of splitting the party by taking in right wing nut jobs, the kind some of us are inclined to distance ourselves from.

Last week, Rees-Mogg claimed that tax breaks arenโ€™t subsidies and challenged me to do my homework. Well, I did. Turns out, the Subsidy Control Act 2022, a piece of Brexit legislation, was passed when you were Brexit minister and itย clearly states tax breaks are subsidies... Time
