Inflation hits 3% (CPI) today. RPI rose to 3.6% in January, up from 3.5% in December. Schools cannot afford another unfunded pay cut. It will deepen the crisis in recruitment and retention. Teachers (after 5 years) in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 earn 17% less than in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. People voted for change.
