Regardless how Yazidi identify themselves, both sides should understand we have alot in common, we have a complex history together & has not been great at some instances, but we also share a lot of good things together too such as language, culture, love of nature, & in many

It is very interesting to see all the conflict and discussion about the relationship between Yazidis and Kurds, and whether Yazidis are Kurds or not. This topic has been politically sensitive, and discussions around it are picking up once again. This has reached such an extent

“I have no doubt it will be received very well… The subject (Mediha) is put in the centre of the whole process which is something you rarely see.”
Yasmine Ahmed asks Natia Navrouzov how will this film be received by Yazidi community.

The genocide carried out in Halabja against the Kurds will forever be a mark of infamy against the Ba'ath and all its supporters.

We lost 7000 of our people to ISIS slavery in two weeks and then we receive them one by one for ten years and still nearly a half of them are missing. This is the tale of a weak community who doesn’t have military means to defend itself.

Post 2014, women’s role within the community has changed, they became empowered enough to lead the community.
Appointing a Yazidi female as an executive director of Yazda is an achievement for all Yazidi women.
Congrats to us all & to Natia Navrouzov on this new role

Ten Iraqi governors appointed. No women among them & I believe there is also no one from religious and smaller ethnical minorities among them. Any place that doesn’t respect women also doesn’t respect minorities and vice versa because the fundamental point here these societies

Im sick to my stomach to such Tv programs! It’s crazy how Al Baghdadi’s wife being interviewed this way on TV! This is really disrespectful to the Sabaya/survivors she mentioned! Instead of a Trail she is being questioned on TV! And judges can decide if she’s innocent.

The Iraqi parliament has initiated the process to amend the Yazidi Survivors Law, including changing its name to remove 'Yazidi' from it. This is one of the few positive laws Iraq has legislated for Yazidis, and now they seek to change that as well.
