A 🧵on the Court’s 7-2 decision in CFPB v. Community Financial Services. The Court reversed the Fifth Circuit’s erroneous finding that the CFPB’s funding structure was an “abomination” of which the “Framers warned.”

I think this is a legitimately big story that will not get sufficient attention. People like hearing about silly social science or humanities research, because it confirms their prejudices, but they’re not prepared to accept how much fraud there is in science proper.

A great oped in today’s The Harvard Crimson reminds us that university encampments and occupations are nothing new. What *is* new is the way universities have responded: with historically anomalous amounts of violence and punishment.
