The NAI addressed Oireachtas members yesterday to speak on the growing challenges of neurological conditions for our health system.

I was honoured to be asked to sit in on Neurological Alliance of Ireland presentation to TDs and Senators yesterday in the Dail, The NAI is an umbrella org for all these fantastic organisations and groups. Neurology conditons now represent the leading cause of ill health and disability worldwide.

Neurology patients are travelling, in some cases over 100kms to their neurologists. There should be consultant neurologists equally distributed across the country. Delayed prognosis = poorer outcomes, increased costs of care etc.
