Why does everyone eventually end up disappointing me?

The kids on campus who have decided that it's acceptable to block access for students, harass, threaten, chase, and beat up those they disagree with (putting a girl into a hospital just today at UCLA) are suffering from a moral disorder of epic proportions.

According to people like Jake, all racism (and presumably slavery too) is the fault of those being discriminated against & killed. For their sin of being Jews, they all deserved the penalty of death. Not for any individual crimes either, mind you, but collectively.

Art cannot play things safe.
Not because it has to be provocative to be good. But because it needs to challenge its own boundaries, bump against the rough edges, and experiment to become good.
If artists can't do that, then you get a beige world.
