Gave our ceiling a little makeover today in honour of #pride month 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Three weeks ago was my convocation and this Friday is the last day of my first teaching position. It’s been a crazy few months in the best way possible. 🤍🎓

For some time now, the NLESD staff have been fielding questions resulting from social media posts making broad claims about students & individuals who identify as cats &/or animals. These posts claim that #nlschools are placing litter boxes in their buildings. 1/5

The feeling of accomplishment after you climb over 2000 stairs to the top of the gorge is surreal. Our classroom doesn’t have walls. This is where we play, learn, and triumph together. RCÉL | CPSN NLESD

So incredibly grateful to watch our students escape a human knot and then start my morning dancing with all of these humans at Valmont Academy ! It’s #PinkShirtDay and we are celebrating being kind every single day!!

Congratulations to our VAV Lego Ladies team that competed in the virtual provincial competition last week. Their Innovation Project on Phantom Power placed 1st. They will now move forward to compete against 32 teams from across Canada in the Canada Cup FIRST Robotics NL

Today our grade 2/3 class visited the Little Free Library on the waterfront. We did a read aloud and then were lucky enough to each take home a book to love! Some students donated books back to the library as well. What a fun morning! ❤️📚 Mrs. Blanchard Valmont Academy

Congratulations to our girls Softball team for bringing home silver medals at today’s 2A qualifier. They were the youngest team there, with only one senior player, and went undefeated in the round robin. Great job, girls! We’re so proud of you NLSchools School Sports NL
