There has been a big rise in profits for Tesco over the last twelve months. They made a profit of £2.3 billion on sales of £68 billion last year and maintained their market share in the face of fierce competition from the likes of Aldi and Lidl. #60secondeconomics

An Exchequer surplus of €0.3 billion was recorded to end-March 2024; That compares to a deficit of c. €2.1 billion in the same period last year.
