I really do need to see a doctor ASAP about fatigue, I know seasonal depression is real - but for the past few months I have had literally ZERO energy almost every day to do anything and it's scary

if anyone has any advice or resources on how to navigate being insurance-less and needing to see a primary physician for screenings, etc. or insurance options for a low-income household/person? please feel free to share :(

@NickNMedia I second the vitamin D idea- it's an easy and affordable option while you figure out the doctor situation. Unfortunately fatigue is a symptom of so many things so a check up might be inevitable. But you should feel the effects of vitamin D relatively quickly, if that's the issue

chonki 👻 @NickNMedia it’s actually much lower - around 600-800 IU a day. i was on 1000 IU a day but now take 2000 IU a day. if you’re taking 5000 that may be weekly :)

anna @NickNMedia Hmmm maybe it depends! When my dad was very deficient the doc recommended 5000iu (and also tanning salons lol).

chonki 👻 @NickNMedia oh it def depends! if you’re very deficient they’ll start you on higher and usually lower your dose after based on what i know. i don’t think there’s any negative side effects of vitamin d in that range anyways so it’s safe, but i’m just more conservative !

anna chonki 👻 @NickNMedia When my vit d was at 12/32 I had to do 5000 once a week then switched to a daily otc supplement. :) the weekly dose prevents vitamin d poisoning
