Like millions across the UK, I suffer from mental ill health. I can work through it because I can afford private treatment.

I.e. the reason I'm not being demonised by the PM is because I'm privileged. We need better access to treatment. Not demonising for political stunts.

If he thinks receiving benefits like PIP is easy then I have a bridge to sell him. When I had my breakdown a few yrs back, my psychiatrist explicitly warned me against trying to claim it because the process is so brutal & he feared it would make me even more unwell. So I didn’t.

After trying to divert public anger away from the Government towards asylum seekers, Rishi Sunak now trying to do the same with the long-term sick.
