The first 10 minutes of Kamala Harris’s CNN interview with Dana Bash is already more serious and substantive than any interview Donald Trump has ever given in the nine long years since he rode down his golden escalator in 2015.

It is hilarious to hear Dana Bash asking detailed policy questions and follow-ups to Harris when this is virtually never done with Republicans and absolutely would not happen with Trump. I mean, I support journalism and she should do this, the double standard is just interesting.

Two things that are true at the same time: 1- The other candidate would never subject themselves to an interview filled with substantive and challenging questions 2- Given the chance, Dana Bash would never actually dare push back with him the way she did with Harris

At least he doesn’t sound angry or incoherent.

I love that she’s not complaining that he’s talking over his limits and out of turn, because she knows he’s just digging himself a hole every single time.
