Here’s the thing. No legislative action is required to get Biden on the ballot, although that’s what the GOP would have you believe. This is a ploy to pass legislation that includes amendments that would silence the voices of citizen led ballot initiatives like CitizensNotPoliticians

I support a clean bill giving Biden a place on the ballot. The continued Republican attack on free speech and ballot initiatives is just one of many indications of how the Republican Party has lost touch with its traditional support of freedom and democracy.

He’s not being 1% noble! He’s siding w/the far right wing of his party trying to force us to swallow poison pills just to have the President on the ballot (!) and in the process he’s scoring wildly misleading media coverage suggesting he’s some sort of hero bucking his party.

Ohio Republicans are at it again: hell bent on hampering Ohio voters’ ability to pass ballot initiatives (which overturn their laws or gerrymandering)…

…but sneaking those changes into the bill that would also put Biden on the ballot.

Hey Mike DeWine we don’t need nor want your “fix” as we don’t need it, you or out of touch General Assembly Republicans to put Joe Biden on the ballot! You need to spend more time on providing answers on your participation in the HB 6 scandal!

Ohio passed clean extensions to the certification deadline for both Obama and Romney in 2012 and for Trump in 2020. Rather than doing that now to get Biden on the ballot, Gov. DeWine and Matt Huffman are playing partisan games to undermine the initiative process. It’s despicable.
