This is a great piece - Must read. Am fearful that many leaders don't understand what is causing inflation. Enormous demand from low int. rates, stimulus and excess cash coupled with massive supply shocks from covid, war and de-globalization are the causes - its not "greed".

These flight cancellations are getting real. Took nearly 30 hrs to get home from San Diego to DC this week with three separate flights canceled on United Airlines. The airline was actually really good & accommodating about the whole thing. But beware of a tough summer ahead!

I hope this is correct. $440m is a great offer. But paid over 15 yrs isn't going to get it done. I expect to see a final offer in the neighborhood of $35-$37 mil/year - i.e. $440 (fish) over 12 years. Or $500m (wish) over 14 years. Hope that gets it done.

Go back and watch the end of the Commanders Saints game. The game clock stops at 9 seconds for 3 seconds. That allowed the final touchdown. Didn’t change the outcome but changed point differential. I can’t think of any good reason that would happen. #fixed
