For this event, we took our Kenyan and Rwandan counterparts to the wild at L. Mburo National Park.

This was a guided tour where we got to appreciate the different animal and bird species in the park

Pharmacy dinner in a week's time 🥳🔥🔥

The first day of the Uganda Pharmaceutical Symposium has been a great success, with a wealth of knowledge shared; particularly on Pharmacovigilance by the various keynote speakers. The momentum is high as we eagerly anticipate day 2. 🔥🔥🔥

Dr Anthony Ddamba, the Chief Client Services Officer NMS Uganda opened the afternoon session.

He highlighted the role NMS plays in the drug cycle in Uganda and what contributions pharmacists can make.

He also highlighted the activities NMS is doing to promote Pharmacovigilance

Dr. Manzi Gerald the Head of Pharmacovigilance Western Region and Senior Hospital Pharmacist at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital #4thUPS

Pharmacists are the guardians of medicines and the best line against ADRs and Prevent AMR.

Dr. Ronald Kiguba concluded the mid morning session with a talk on Pharmacovigilance of herbal products.

Herbal products unlike routine pharmaceuticals take a slightly different path in licensing and approval

Despite this, their pharmacovigilance carries similar importance
