RIGHT NOW: Palestinian supporters at an encampment at UNC-Chapel Hill #ChapelHill have formed a barricade with tents and mattresses. They’re asking supporters to stay here on Polk Place in case police move in to clear this encampment, now in Day 4. We’ve heard nothing from the University.
HAPPENING NOW: Palestinian supporters are gathered outside the Orange County Detention Center as people who were detained from the clearing of the #UNC encampment are released. UNC-Chapel Hill tells us about 30 people who refused to leave have been detained.
HAPPENING NOW: Hundreds of Palestinian supporters are now on the steps & quad in front of South Building where the UNC-Chapel Hill Chancellor’s Office is located. This march & rally comes after at least 6 protesters were arrested when police cleared the encampment on campus this AM. #UNC
