RIGHT NOW: Palestinian supporters at an encampment at UNC-Chapel Hill #ChapelHill have formed a barricade with tents and mattresses. They’re asking supporters to stay here on Polk Place in case police move in to clear this encampment, now in Day 4. We’ve heard nothing from the University.

HAPPENING NOW: Palestinian supporters are gathered outside the Orange County Detention Center as people who were detained from the clearing of the #UNC encampment are released. UNC-Chapel Hill tells us about 30 people who refused to leave have been detained.

Protesters from the #UNC Palestine encampment are now blocking the media from recording as people who were arrested are released from the Orange County Detention Center. Reminder, we are in a public space. They’ve also told supporters to NOT speak to media.
