Judge Damon Keith orders city of Hamtramck to create housing for 500 Blacks who were displaced by urban renewal programs during 1960s. In 1971, Garrett v. City of Hamtramck Keith ruled that Hamtramck practiced 'Negro removal.' Case will be settled in 2024.
