I reviewed it (acknowledged) and thought this was a very important paper. We indeed need to rethink #biochemistry and #physiology behind #bileacids , given emerging data on their diversity (and most likely also other metabolites).

Chemical diversity of #bileacids requires some rethinking of their biochemistry and functions, never mind analytics.

How many bile acids might exist? Based on current numbers there may be as many as a few million different forms -and if this prediction is accurate- then it will form one of the most diverse communication highways for gut microbes to distant organs.
