We need a serious conversation about environmental crime in Britain. Our country is being desecrated and hugely polluted. Tough action, NOT WORDS is required. On-the-spot fines should be increased from £1,000 to £10,000.

In political campaigns, remember that the media have a terrible record of assuming an outcome. The narrative didn’t allow for a Tory majority in 2015, a Leave vote in 2016, a hung parliament in 2017 or such a big Tory win in 2019. The campaigns were seen through the wrong prism.
