Great day at the Town of Cheektowaga Senior Center where we honored Kathy Maciejewski as the Erie County Seniors Senior of the Month.

It's also great to see so many seniors enjoying our lunch and Wii recreation programs. The lunch was tasty: pork chop, lazy pierogi, carrots and more.

911 call takers are on the front lines every day, usually working unnoticed, helping people who may be going through the worst moments of their lives. I'm proud to recognize, thank and honor them this National Public Safety Telecommunications Week.

The cherry tree blossoms are nearing full bloom at The The Buffalo History Museum Museum. The Museum's annual Cherry Blossom Festival doesn't start until April 27, but if you want to see the blossoms you better get to the History Museum sometime in the next week.

I'm very saddened to learn of the passing of Yuri Hreshchyshyn. A community leader and friend who cared deeply for Buffalo, Yuri spent the last two years dedicated to getting financial aid and health care supplies to his beloved Ukranian homeland.
