I love how the same people who will say libraries are obsolete will email you and be like 'can you help get his article that's behind a paywall.' πŸ™„

Thinking of the library workers who inspire me directly & indirectly in this moment.

Delighted for this opportunity to advocate & celebrate the essential & impactful work of libraries.

Humbled to share the slate with the brilliant leader, Ray Pun (he/him)! πŸ’œ

Bust out a tape measure and make sure you're hanging your signs between 48-60 inches. It may feel weird to hang signs 'low' on tall walls, but do it anyway. You want people to be able to see them. The 'look' does not matter.

When you design with UDL, you improve things for EVERYONE not just those with accessibility needs. My favorite example of this is curb cuts and ramps. Designed for those in wheelchairs... mostly used by parents with strollers.

There are a lot of exemptions to ADA. While you might not be required to make ADA compliant signs, you should do it anyway. It's just the right thing to do.

Our marketing is informed by market research data, our signage can be as well. What signs do your people want? Are their ways to improve accessibility? Ask your audience!
