But beyond the NHS, IMHO there is a fundamental structural issue with the UK economy which means growth is locked down at low rates. Brexit, the pandemic and external conflicts contributed to that, and long-term I'm not sure life for my kids will be as good in the UK as in Asia.

The UK must do more in general to retain doctors and other healthcare staff. Pay restoration is part of it. But so is seriously reconsidering the rapid expansion of MAPs. Without addressing retention issues, people will weigh up various factors and many will decide to leave.
