Talking a while ago about Pixel count Andrew Atkinson Little Canon Ixus 3.2mp was very good - the band pic from it is Jamie Cullum 2005, reasonable under the conditions. The 2.0Mp Oregon Scientific however was useless. (Can't find any pics) Regret both cameras are now dead

Got very acceptable A4 prints from a 5mp. The portrait orientation pic (👼🏼) on a 20mp compact is 28Inch long edge, pic above same camera. (Of course can't see well here) compare 24' Battersea pic on D850 45mp Really good detail. And then a 24' print from 35 mm --

Indeed. & at a time when armed forces/all those other services - NHS, Police fire etc are so underfunded, who will train those looking after the mandatory but not compulsory volunteers. If there's £2.5Bn a year available, that would be better used to fund the services directly
