"There is a substantial consensus among legal experts that Israel cannot continue its current Rafah offensive without violating the court’s order." I spoke w/ Amanda Taub, who also quotes Pierre d'Argent Mike Becker Adil Haque Janina Dill and others. nytimes.com/2024/05/30/wor…
It was great to speak with William Noah Glucroft and Martin Gak last week for EUobserver about #SouthAfrica v #Israel at the #ICJ and the challenges of seeking to use international courts to address the conflict in #Gaza. Thanks for having me.
Great to be in Maastricht today to present on the ICJ and Third Party Fact-Finding at the Recharacterising International Disputes conference hosted by Maastricht Centre for Human Rights, organised by Alexandre Skander GALAND and Craig Eggett, and with great co-panelists Cecily Rose, Sarah (Sally) Thin and Nik Voulgaris.
Great to see this by TCD Law School LLM candidate Ton Nu Thanh Binh in Opinio Juris today. Binh discusses the upsurge in Article 63 intervention at the CIJ_ICJ, including factors the Court might take into account when exercising its discretion under the recently revised rules.

Very useful analysis by David Keane on the report published yesterday by the ad hoc Conciliation Commission (established under #CERD) on #Palestine v #Israel (marking the end of an interstate process begun in 2018). Link to the report is here: ohchr.org/en/press-relea….
