Then, time for the marina!! It’s very different than the beach Simon these low tides, I like to go to both for reference, todays high tide was 10.2’ and low tide was -2.7! (The last pic is the huge tide pool!!)

Since its low tide season, I went to the local beach to explore. I forgot my boots so I couldn’t do too much it still saw a few cool starfish, sea cucumbers and other sea monsters!!

So it’s a cold and rainy day here in the PNW. What better way to spend it than going to the garden, beach and marina!! Unfortunately all the rain kind of ruined the irises that were in bloom, thankfully there’s still lots that haven’t opened yet.

I have to share, all along the side of the highway are these bright yellow flowers, I thought maybe goldenrod? My eyes couldn’t focus enough in them to tell. So I pulled over and learned they are Scotch Broom! They may not be good but they sure are pretty!

But it was meant to be a grey and misty day, just how I like it!

The sun tried so hard to come out!

With the tide heading out, the sea stacks were exposed and so were all the critters!

Friends, I got up early so I could make one more stop at Ruby Beach on the way home before the holiday crowds showed up. I got there and basically had the place to myself. The tide was heading out so it was absolutely amazing!

Welcome to the Best Day of the Week friends! I’ll spend a good portion of the day driving home, it it’s a nice drive so it’s okay. What are you going to do? You better pick something fun!! Whatever it is, just enjoy.

After the logging museum, I still had some afternoon left so I headed back up to Rialto Beach for more photos, a nice walk, and some beach rock searching. It was not as nice as yesterday, but the clouds and fog gave it a very cool vibe. I so love it here!!

Behind the logging museum was a little half mile nature walk and it was amazing!!

Since I couldn’t do the hike I wanted, I had time to spare so I went to the Forks Logging museum. Yes, that it a pay phone!! And yes, it rains A LOT here!!

I walked the hall of mosses. The name says it all! ☘️💚

The ferns are amazing!!!!

It was so unreal to see more gigantic trees!!
