So you know how hard we've been working to make the St. Roch Market nicer. Well this person stole all my nice new plants on the front patio. I spent a lot of time this week writing a grant to make the patio even nicer. But I'm rethinking my decision that's for sure.

Putting this out there: I’m a journalist who has covered many protests, viewed A LOT of body camera footage.

DMs are open if anyone wants to chat about processing the graphic images of police and mob brutality we’ve seen — and will continue to see — in the coming days. ❤️

In the spring of 2019, Ryuichi placed a piano in his NYC backyard and left it exposed to the elements to observe how the piano would return to nature. The piano blended with the seasons for several years before relocating to an artist friend's garden in Upstate NY.

“As a writer, Paul was blessed with the gift of flow. His paragraphs were a moving sidewalk — it was more comfortable to ride than to hop off — so you could read him for hours, as his plots twisted and turned.”

In 2001 I was with a friend in Brooklyn. We were both stumbling drunk making our way to her Park Slope apt when I noticed another stumbling drunk coming towards us. It was Paul Auster. 'Hey, that man is my favorite writer.' My friend laughed. 'Of course he is,' she said.
