We’ve had a fab time with the team from Glasgow Science Centre learning all about how our bodies work; from lungs 🫁 to digestive systems, brains 🧠 to memory, and x-rays to infrared heat sensors; we’ve experienced it all. Thank you to the Bodyworks crew. 🙌

We’re well on our way to premiering our animated adaptation of Rabbie Burns’ ‘To a Mouse’. From Scots translation to storyboarding, character model making to set design, we’ve just got editing and sound to go… Argyll and Bute Council Digital Learning Team Argyll and Bute STEM

After a storm delayed Burns Afternoon, we were able to premiere our ‘To a Mouse’ animation project to parents. We’re really proud of it and the creative journey we went on. What a fab week learning about Gaeilge and Ireland 🇮🇪 as part of Languages Week Scotland. We’ve read folk tales, navigated Éire 🧭 in maths, learned greetings, crafted St Brigid crosses, written our names in ancient Ogham & made the most wonderful soda bread. Slán #scotlandloveslanguages

Finally we can get outside to do our Maths work . Great work today using our new measuring tapes .

We’re not blasting into space 🧑‍🚀 yet, but we have started our journey to being young beekeepers 🐝 by trying out our new suits and building our new hives from Maisemore Apiaries. We also explored some of the equipment we’ll be getting to know. Next up, designing the look of our hives

We’ve had the best morning ever Lennox of Lomond A huge thank you to the Lennox family who taught us about lambing season 🐑, farming life 🚜 and the geography⛰️ of our local area. There was even a lovely sweet treat to finish. It was huge smiles from pupils and staff alike.. 💚💙

We had a fab time participating in 💜PurpleUp! Day Forces Children Scotland to show support for our military children; from dressing in purple to dandelion inspired abstract art and baking & designing purple-up biscuits 😋. Thanks to Emer & Lucy for their support. #MotMChelensburgh

We decided to get off to an early start with maths week activities to take advantage of the sunshine .We loved making potions and finding things to measure . The older children even made us an obstacle course . @MathsWeekScotland #30DaysWild from The Wildlife Trusts

Trying out some new flavours and toppings at the ice cream shop this week . The health and safety inspector turned up just to make sure things were being done properly.🍦🍧☀️

Today is World Bee Day 🐝! Bees are tiny heroes that pollinate 75% of the world crops . We are doing our best to help them by getting a hive and planting sunflowers for them . We’ve also been making honey sandwiches and bee biscuits and writing poems about bees 🐝 World Bee Day
