Last weekend, talented young folks from across Alaska participated in the 2024 NYO. This contest is an incredible celebration of Alaska’s Indigenous youth through traditional contests of Native sports. Congrats to all of the winners and participants!

Anyone who has seen a return trip of veterans participating in an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., never forget it. It was a privilege to help welcome these heroes home yesterday and recognize them for their service and sacrifices to our great Nation.

This afternoon, I popped into Government Hill Elementary to see their 30th Annual Multicultural Festival! It was great catching up with old friends from the PTA days when my boys went here.
